AGNA antibodies

Screening for antibodies against the AGNA antigen (anti-glial nuclear antibodies) is used in suspected paraneoplastic syndrome and in ambiguous forms of neuropathy. SOX1 antigen is used as a control antigen.

Antibodies against the AGNA antigen can occur in Lambert-Eaton syndrome and in cerebral destruction. The most common form of cancer associated with the AGNA antigen is small cell lung cancer.
