LED Light and Sperm Motility
Activation of sperm with LED light, improves sperm motility in men with asthenozoospermia. Sperm motility is an important parameter of male fertility and depends on energy consumption. It is known that photobiomodulation using photodiode (LEDs) stimulates the respiratory chain in mitochondria in various mammalian cell types. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of LED photo modulation on sperm motility in infertile men with sperm motility disorder - asthenozoospermia. The results of the study confirmed that photobiomodulation using LEDs, improved sperm motility of patients with asthenozoospermia, regardless of the wavelength of light.
