EnteroScan® Microbiome

EnteroScan® Microbiome is a specialized laboratory test that analyzes the Gut Microbiome using molecular methods. The test includes the identification of 31 different microorganisms representative of all groups of the intestine (Aerobic, Anaerobic, Fungi) and the 7 most important microbial phyla of the intestinal microbiome.

The gut microbiome, the community of microorganisms that inhabit the digestive system, is a vital element for the health of the human body. The test of the intestinal microbiome has emerged as a critical factor in understanding the functioning of the digestive system and preventing and managing various diseases. The information we receive from the EnteroScan® tests sheds light on the etiological relationships and root causes of gastrointestinal diseases, nervous system diseases, allergies and autoimmune diseases, obesity, metabolic syndrome, type 2 diabetes mellitus, and many other chronic diseases and pathological conditions.

Role of the Gut Microbiome: The gut microbiome contributes to food digestion, vitamin production, and protection against pathogenic microorganisms. It also affects the immune system and is linked to mental health.

Symptoms of Dysfunction: An imbalance in the gut microbiome can lead to various health problems, including digestive issues, inflammatory diseases, and mental disorders.

Gut microbiome testing is essential for preventing and managing disease, enhancing understanding of the microbiome's role in health, and offering tailor-made solutions to support the digestive system and overall health.
