Hypothyroidism

Thyroid hormones are very important regulators of the body's metabolism. Thyroid imbalances can affect virtually any metabolic process in the body. Hypothyroidism is a common condition in which the production or action of thyroid hormones decreases, resulting in symptoms such as fatigue, depression, low body temperature, constipation, changes in menstruation, weight gain, memory loss and decreased concentration, muscle and joint pain, and decreased libido, among others.
