Premenstrual Syndrome
Premenstrual syndrome is a variety of physical and psychological symptoms that appear in the week before the onset of menstruation and can be so severe that it interferes with the normal functioning of the patient. The most common symptoms of premenstrual syndrome are swelling and tenderness of the breast while mood disorders in the week before menstruation are also common. Other symptoms include irritability, headaches, fatigue, bloating and fluid retention, arthralgias and myalgias, acne, depression, nausea, food cravings, and decreased libido.
